ABOUT ME

My passion is studying the interactions between environmental change and parental effects. I seek to understand how natural and anthropogenic environmental gradients alter parental physiology and epigenetics that influence the fitness of their offspring. I am currently a Post Doctoral Researcher in the Lab of Dr. Tali Mass within the University of Haifa, Israel.

I completed my Ph.D. in Prof. Maoz Fine’s Lab at the Interuniversity Institute for Marine Sciences in Eilat in 2020. I conducted multiple experiments on reef building corals. I used the Red Sea Simulator System to investigate corals’ responses to climate change with a focus on reproduction and ecophysiology during early life history.

I completed a Masters of Research at the University of Southampton where I subsequently participated in ocean acidification research expeditions to Sweden and Gran Canaria with GEOMAR’s KOSMOS team. Before that I graduated from a B.Sc Marine Biology with First Class Honours from Swansea University. My dissertation assessed the function of green fluorescent proteins in corals across a depth gradient in the Red Sea.

I am a highly motivated, hands-on marine scientist who most enjoys and has experience with interdisciplinary, international, collaborative projects in challenging environments.
